Safe Ride Tennessee was created by the Tennessee Highway Safety Office to give would-be impaired drivers a safe way home on high-risk holidays and events. Ultimately, the goal is to save Tennessean lives and prevent traffic fatalities.

Rides are available if they originate in or have a destination of Nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, or Memphis. Credits can only be redeemed between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. You cannot reserve a Safe Ride or schedule a pickup in advance. Rides are available while supplies last.

The program is providing a free Uber or Lyft ride home up to $10. Users are financially responsible for anything over $10.
